CAPPING OF SOME DUMP SITES TO ENSURE SANITATION

The Accra metropolitan Assembly and zoom-lion Ghana limited has come together to fight the hill of rubbish at “Mallam” which has been the dumping site for the people. This dump site has called to the notice of many optimistic citizens as well as concerned people in the country. This is as a result of the breeding of insects and other bacterial diseases which makes the area prone to diseases like malaria and typhoid fever.  Among the other threatening activities that were going on were the children who turned the place into a play ground.

The government of Ghana and Zoom- Lion then took the initiative to Capp the rubbish that had been piled up for some years now causing more harm than good. The capping of the place has been continuous from day to evening so as to meet their deadline.

The project which is to end by the middle of the year is to fence and cover the whole place with stone and sand so as to remove all forms of rubbish from the community. This project will eradicate all forms of diseases that emanate from the dumping of refuse in the area.

Pambros site in a picture
SALTING MAKING is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world. Presently, it is only Ghana and senegal that produce salt in the sub-region with a total production of about 350,000 metric tonnes per year, a figure far below the expected demand of 1.5 million metric tonnes per year. in Accra for instance, panbros salt industries is the largest salt refineries and has its landmarks closer to the sea.
it has nice its nice terraces that borders the sea and other ridges that have been created along the neighbouring communities provide a good spectacle for tourists.
the production of salt till date has still not been known by many people, this is as a result of misinformation on how salt is made.most people have never witnessed the production of salt and how the processes leads to the refined salt. a careful view from the hills of mccarthy will give a beautiful and splendid siht of the panbros salt and how the place has been divided into terraces.
the making of salt goes through a series of activities before the desired salt is got. depending on the type of salt needed, the usual salt needed or commonly used is the sea salt. it goes through the processes of collection, filteration, boiling,  second filtering, baking and last but not the least scrapping for test and refining into a desired type.

theses wonderful processes and the nature by which the place has been used needs urgent and technical advice to make provisions for people who have not had the chance to experience such a vast land producing salt.
